Our company is looking for a Night Care Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all night documentation is completed and signed for;
  • Serving meals/drinks and assisted feeding;
  • Interacting with our residents on a personal level;
  • Helping our residents with personal support and care,
  • Support & encourage residents to maintain their independence with daily living;
  • Assisting washing and dressing residents;
  • Encouraging independence as much as possible;
  • Being aware and participating in the development of resident Care Plans and having full awareness of any specialist support needs;
  • Supporting residents with personal care needs;
  • Be understanding and patient towards residents and their needs;
  • Providing personal care such as toileting, washing and dressing;
  • To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times;
  • Checking and reporting any change in residents conditions to a senior care assistant;
  • Keeping a close eye on the residents during the night;
  • Support an open, positive and inclusive working culture.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Caring nature;
  • Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents;
  • Have access to a smartphone, with internet access to manage your rotas;
  • At least 3 months’ previous care experience;
  • Ability to communicate well, both written and verbally;
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care desirable;
  • Certification in a practical Moving and Handling course in the last 12 months;
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload under pressure;
  • Medically able to carry out duties and responsibilities;
  • A passionate individual ready to develop and learn new skills in order to progress in your role;
  • Access to your own vehicle is desirable, but not mandatory;
  • A flexible and pro-active individual able to work in a team;
  • The right to live and work in the UK.
