Night Care Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Night Care Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all night documentation is completed and signed for;
- Serving meals/drinks and assisted feeding;
- Interacting with our residents on a personal level;
- Helping our residents with personal support and care,
- Support & encourage residents to maintain their independence with daily living;
- Assisting washing and dressing residents;
- Encouraging independence as much as possible;
- Being aware and participating in the development of resident Care Plans and having full awareness of any specialist support needs;
- Supporting residents with personal care needs;
- Be understanding and patient towards residents and their needs;
- Providing personal care such as toileting, washing and dressing;
- To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times;
- Checking and reporting any change in residents conditions to a senior care assistant;
- Keeping a close eye on the residents during the night;
- Support an open, positive and inclusive working culture.
Requirements:
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually;
- Strong communication skills;
- Caring nature;
- Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents;
- Have access to a smartphone, with internet access to manage your rotas;
- At least 3 months’ previous care experience;
- Ability to communicate well, both written and verbally;
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care desirable;
- Certification in a practical Moving and Handling course in the last 12 months;
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload under pressure;
- Medically able to carry out duties and responsibilities;
- A passionate individual ready to develop and learn new skills in order to progress in your role;
- Access to your own vehicle is desirable, but not mandatory;
- A flexible and pro-active individual able to work in a team;
- The right to live and work in the UK.
