Our company is looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • support CAREGiver schedules are completed with continuity of care for Clients’
  • To accompany residents to appointments outside of the home as required;
  • To utilise available resources effectively, and be aware of financial implications in decisions affecting care;
  • Assisting with domestic duties;
  • To report faulty equipment and/or damage caused within the Home;
  • Assisting the Unit Manager in inducting new care staff;
  • Assisting in the delivery of personal care;
  • Responsible for the administration of medication;
  • Medication rounds;
  • Helping our residents with personal support and care,
  • Interacting with our residents on a personal level;
  • Participate in staff and residents’ meetings;
  • To Supervise and participate in the delivery of care to residents;
  • Act as a role model for good care governance practice;
  • To lead the shift, supporting other staff members and ensuring the highest standards of care are achieved at all times.

Requirements:

  • Caring nature;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually;
  • Access to your own vehicle is desirable, but not essential;
  • Have access to a smart device, with internet access to manage your rotas;
  • At least 3 months’ previous care experience;
  • Maintain skills and keep up to date with clinical developments and best practice in areas relevant to care delivery in the home;
  • Be responsible for the care and protection of residents’ property;
  • Ability to communicate well, both written and verbally;
  • Level 2 in Health & Social Care;
  • To attend all statutory and mandatory training as required by the Company in order to fulfil your duties;
  • To maintain standards of infection control within the home and to assist residents to maintain their own infection control needs;
  • Access to a smart device with internet to manage rotas via the HealthForceGo® app;
  • You will need access to a smartphone with internet access to manage your rota via our homecare app;
  • Certification in practical Moving & Handling course, completed in the last 12 months;
  • Medication Adminstration certificate.
