Our company is looking for a Senior Carer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that rooms are clean and tidy, and commodes are emptied. ensure that the home’s resources are used appropriately;
  • Assist in the support and delivery of care for service users who are dying or who have a progressive illness;
  • Delivering the highest possible levels of care by supporting/assisting service users when required with all aspects of daily living;
  • Complete written daily records as instructed and in line with the company’s policies and procedures;
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times;
  • Participate in staff and residents’ meetings;
  • Assist in keeping meaningful residents’ records;
  • Attend one Fire Lecture annually;
  • To report faulty equipment and/or damage caused within the Home;
  • To actively be involved in the training programme and teaching of junior staff;
  • Giving out medication to residents using Boots MARS chart;
  • Adhere to all company and local policies/procedures;
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all residents, family,visitors and colleagues;
  • Provide person centred care and personal care to residents in all aspects of their daily living;
  • Supporting residents at meal times, in accordance with their individual needs.

Requirements:

  • You need the ability to communicate with compassion and care;
  • NVQ3 or commitment to achieve QCF3;
  • A driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes;
  • Previous supervisory experience working in a caring role;
  • Experience of Medication Administration;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually;
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car. This role involves Homecare calls also;
  • Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Service Users;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Previous experience of as a senior in a Residential Care Home;
  • A Passion for Care;
  • NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Team Player, Reliable and Flexible person;
  • Caring nature.
