Our company is looking for a Staff Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of care and health education needs;
  • Development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient;
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
  • Stoma care;
  • Ordering of drugs and medical supplies and the safe disposal of unwanteddrugs, in accordance with accepted procedures;
  • Working closely with members of the multidisciplinary team, including Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists;
  • To assist with re-assessment of the residents’ needs, and re-evaluation ofcare – adapting and prioritising the planned care appropriately;
  • Caring for all patients during their stay within ASCR pre and post operatively including any rehabilitation they may require;
  • Care of wounds;
  • Embracing the core values of the Trust at all times;
  • Storage and administration of drugs including controlled drugs;
  • Promoting residents` independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care and striving for continuous improvement;
  • Liaising with community nurses in assisting patients prepared for home;
  • Delegation and supervision of duties to care staff;
  • Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation.

Requirements:

  • An RGN or RNM qualification;
  • Valid NMC pin;
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and committed to delivering the highest standards of care;
  • Ideally experienced working in an elderly and dementia care setting or passionate about working in this sector;
  • Ideally demonstrate some post-registration experience although NQ Nurses will also be mentored through a preceptorship programme;
  • Have been employed as a Nurse in an acute setting within the past 12 months;
  • Fully understand each patient’s needs and give them and their families the comfort and reassurance that can mean so much;
  • Be NMC registered. Your NMC pin should not have any restrictions or conditions;
  • Work with leading practitioners to experience new practices, equipment and facilities;
  • Have a minimum of 6 months, post graduation, UK Hospital experience (NHS);
  • Not only make correct assessments in accordance with protocols, but also giving patients reassurance and support;
  • Be part of a close-knit team with matron-led care and consultant-led service.
