Air Conditioning Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Remain fully aware of the customer’s needs at all times;
- Ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary;
- Ensuring statutory site logbooks are continually updated;
- Review building plans and specifications;
- Fault Finding;
- Maintenance and repair of AHU’s and refrigeration units;
- Undertaking maintenance, service and repair of AHUs and ventilation equipment;
- Working independently and with other engineers (as a pair);
- 70% of work on Air Conditioning;
- 5% on Chillers;
- Polite and courteous with good communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Offering advice and technical support to customers;
- Using the Concept Evolution computer system to accept, update and complete tasks (Training will be given);
- Test, service and repair a wide variety of equipment (VRV, VRF, Split);
- Taking ownership and accountability in seeing tasks though, to ensure they are undertaken efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- C&G / NVQ 2 minimum;
- F-Gas qualified;
- 3-5 years’ experience post qualification;
- Having other building services or HVAC skills would be an advantage but is not essential;
- Live local to the Brighton, Worthing, Eastbourne area;
- Have a good electrical knowledge;
- Good service and installation experience with commercial and residential air conditioning systems;
- Good all round experience of the maintenance, service and repair of air handling and ventilation equipment;
- Willingness to undertake works outside of core hours to fulfil business and customer requirements. (Overtime opportunities);
- Qualifications such as NVQ within Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning; with F-Gas 2079 cat 1;
- Health & Safety Conscious;
- Ability to work as part of a team; and also on their own;
- Customer focused. – “Can do” attitude. – Self-Motivated;
- Driving licence required;
- Basic I.T. literacy in order to manage tasks via Concept Evolution. (Basic training would be given on Concept Evolution).
