Our company is looking for a HGV Technician – Nights to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing faults;
  • Carrying out service, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of vehicles;
  • Carrying out inspections;
  • Ensuring health & safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to;
  • Diagnose and rectify all types of faults;
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles & trailers to VOSA standard;
  • Liaise with parts department to attain parts;
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses;
  • Ensure appropriate clocking is made, all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a larger team as well as on their own initiative;
  • Obtained a City & Guilds or other adequate qualification;
  • Full and current UK driving licence, an LGV licence is preferred but not essential;
  • Undertaken manufacturers training courses and maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data;
  • Experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles;
  • Organised and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail;
  • A friendly, confident and professional manner with excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work as part of a team Good verbal communication skills Excellent customer care skills Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks;
  • You will be an apprentice trained HGV mechanic;
  • Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlines Ability to work under pressure Ability to actively seek solutions to problems;
  • You will be an apprentice trained Vehicle Mechanic.
