Installation Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Installation Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide in house support for other employees as required;
- On-site installation of other software based inVentry products;
- Install smoke venting and fire alarm systems to BS5839 and BS7436 standards;
- Oversee the integration of control and safety systems;
- Providing support and assistance from the office when not on customer sites;
- Aspects of swimming pools and spa installation;
- Work with schools & businesses throughout Bucks and surrounding counties;
- Maintenance of tools and equipment;
- Upholding a high level of customer service;
- Liaise with Design, Project Management and Maintenance departments;
- Working on building sites as well as finished homes;
- Install cabling to BS7671 wiring regulations;
- Inclusion on out of hours call out rota (Currently one week in 8);
- Supplying & Installing at client sites;
- Ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Problem solving and trouble shooting in an IT environment;
- Up to date and effective IT skills;
- Understanding of customer needs and priorities;
- Excellent communication skills, particularly to be able communicate with staff/customers with less IT/technical knowledge;
- Minimum of ONC or City and Guilds in relevant engineering subjects;
- Experience of working within an ISO registered environment;
- Excellent communication skills and a professional manner;
- A full clean driving licence is essential;
- IET 17th Edition qualified a distinct advantage;
- Time served apprentice trained/skilled or equivalent;
- Experience of installing steam, water, electrical, compressor, pump systems and other relevant equipment is essential;
- Significant experience with installation and movement of heavy equipment;
- Excellent organisational skills and good time management;
- Self-motivation and the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team.
