Laundry Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Laundry Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily;
- To ensure trolley’s are re-stocked at the end of shift and cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidy;
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene;
- To comply with COSHH regulations;
- Carry out any other reasonable instructions of the Home Manager;
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the Home Manager;
- To ensure the correct use of PPE;
- Carry out other ad hoc duties as requested by the Head Housekeeper or Home Manager;
- To follow the correct use of colour code systems within the home;
- Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to;
- To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents;
- To adhere to infection control polices at all times;
- To adhere to infection control policies at all times.
Requirements:
- Caring nature;
- Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents;
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually;
- Strong communication skills;
- Good communication skills both written and verbal;
- Basic education, including English and Maths;
- Ability to communicate on the telephone;
- Flexible and reliable attitude to working arrangements;
- Ability to work alone as well as part of a team;
- Adaptable, friendly, polite, courteous and caring;
- Previous cleaning experience;
- Committed to customer care and first class service provision;
- An understanding of infection control;
- A knowledge of health and safety;
- Able to carry out instructions accurately.
