Our company is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Sit down/ride on mowers;
  • Assist manufacturing team as required in order to achieve the manufacturing plan;
  • Responding to machine breakdowns;
  • Understanding plant improvement projects;
  • Work with production to facilitate optimum running time of lines;
  • Keeping maintenance records;
  • Repair and maintenance of the building fabric, plant and equipment by carrying out preventive maintenance;
  • To adopt a flexible approach in respect of other skills or trades to ensure the most cost effective completion of all tasks;
  • Assist in the development and skills training of the Apprentices;
  • Respond to all maintenance requests in order of priority and perform planned and reactive maintenance;
  • Work to Resolve Breakdowns with the Assistant Maintenance Manager;
  • Carry out plant checks and readings on essential equipment;
  • Assisting operations in improving uptime on equipment using problem solving techniques;
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of production lines to identify and implement improvements;
  • Monitor equipment/machinery performance using agreed Key performance indicators, and investigate opportunities for improvement as identified.

Requirements:

  • Carry out PPM’s;
  • Ideally Apprenticeship trained;
  • Able to read Electrical drawings;
  • Electrical or mechanical training or experience;
  • Previously worked as a Maintenance Engineer, within a manufacturing environment or similar;
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment;
  • Experience working with SCADA progammes is desirable;
  • To be fully conversant with the risk assessments and attend training courses and willing to learn new skills and enhance current knowledge;
  • Assist in the development and skills training of the Apprentices;
  • Effective electrical fault finding skills – essential;
  • Proven experience of working in an organised and structured way;
  • Must have experience in programming and robotics;
  • Experience of PLC programming and fault finding;
  • Experience in directing and planning essential services such as maintenance, plant servicing, waste disposal, recycling and security;
  • Electrical maintenance of automated material handling and process equipment.
