Our company is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain stock temperatures;
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulic and general maintenance faults and carry out repairs;
  • Accountable for operating the weighbridge;
  • Maintain equipment and adequate stock of consumables;
  • Ensure sheds are emptied, cleaned and sanitised;
  • To be responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of areas, such as the plant rooms and workshops;
  • Carry out work completely and effectively within Mercedes Benz servicing and repair times;
  • Repair components or sub-assy in order to replace them;
  • Responding to machine breakdowns;
  • Ensuring all machinery runs smoothly to ensure an efficient production operation;
  • Arrange and monitor external contractors for major repairs or specialised maintenance;
  • Remain up to date with Electrical Regulation’s qualifications BS EN 7671;
  • Assess material requirements for specific work request and if not held in stock report requirements to Technical Maintenance Supervisor;
  • Carrying out minor repairs;
  • Report observations and recommendations for future maintenance and repair work paying particular attention to issues of Health and Safety.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel with a located area within Cheshire;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Full manual driving licence;
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations;
  • Can lift 75+ lbs;
  • Must pass background check;
  • Maintenance;
  • Experience with electronics / Electrical;
  • FMCG experience is advantageous;
  • Hands-on experience in wiring / cabling from drawings or from experience;
  • Relevant multiskilled background (e.g. building, plumbing, electric or carpentry);
  • Computer literate (Microsoft software and specific to electrical drawings);
  • You will have an HNC in relevant field or City & Guilds qualifications to include 2382 (18th Edition), 2330, 2360 etc. are advantageous;
  • Troubleshooting of electrical system;
  • Experience of undertaking repairs and maintenance in a domestic residential environment.
