Our company is looking for a Master Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep technical and job knowledge up to date by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers’ publications etc;
  • Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out and to immediately report any further works required or vehicle faults;
  • Review the customer’s requirements provided by the Service Advisors ensuring sufficient information is provided to complete the repair;
  • Keep up-to-date with the most recent changes in technology, techniques and in the commercial developments;
  • Ascertain labour operation times for the workshop repair, to support the Service Advisor/Executive in providing an estimate to the customer;
  • Obtain appropriate authorisation if additional work is required on a vehicle;
  • Undertake vehicle road testing for diagnosis and to test repairs;
  • Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and efficient service to all workshop customers personifying the brand;
  • Level 4 IMI accredited qualification;
  • Arrange technical update meetings and cascade technical information to all staff;
  • Be aware of and adhere to the Health & Safety aspects of the working environment;
  • Ascertain parts required to resolve the customer issue and order as required;
  • Conduct full examinations of vehicles and identify non-routine defects, or additional faults either in the workshop or during road tests;
  • Deliver training and cascading information to Technicians;
  • Be open to try new methods of work designed to improve efficiency.

  • Thorough and able to work with defined processes and guidelines;
  • Team Player – assist other technicians when workshop is under pressure, and take ownership of any safety issues you identify in the workshop;
  • You will need to be an experienced, technician with a relevant formal qualification (IMI/City & Guilds);
  • Ability to deliver customer distinction at all time;
  • Passionate about the industry, and committed to the development of your technical knowledge and skills;
  • Customer focused, able to keep customers experience and safety in mind throughout the service or diagnosis and repair;
  • Excellent communication skills.
