Our company is looking for a Residential conveyancer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend to clients of the Firm on a regular basis;
  • Drafting and approving various legal documentation;
  • Conduct legal research where appropriate;
  • Sale contract issues;
  • Dealing with post completion matters;
  • Sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfer of equity and some right to buy matters;
  • Networking with clients with the aim of increasing the current presence of the Residential Conveyancing department;
  • Resolving complex and technical queries;
  • Managing an agreed caseload of clients in consultation with the Partners;
  • To run all conveyancing procedures on the firm’s case management system whilst providing an excellent level of client care;
  • Handling a caseload of residential property files to include sale and purchase files and shared ownership, help to buy, remortgage and equity;
  • Undertaking all aspects including freehold/leasehold sales and purchase, transfer of equity, buy to let, first buy, new builds and re-mortgages;
  • Freehold and leasehold titles;
  • Managing own caseload;
  • Be actively involved in business development activities.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative;
  • You will work well as part of a team in a busy environment;
  • Ability to enthuse others;
  • Self-motivated;
  • Experience of both sale and purchase files, as well as re-mortgaging, help to buy and new build properties is required;
  • To be successful in this application, you will need to be a Commercial Property Solicitor with at least two years of experience;
  • Put the client at the heart of everything you do, using your expertise and exemplary communication skills to create enduring, positive relationships;
  • Ideally, you will enjoy business development and be motivated to go out into the market and build relationships with local agents;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Previous experience, knowledge and demonstrable background of handling residential conveyancing matters;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal;
  • You will be confident running your own caseload.
