Health Economics, Associate Director Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Health Economics, Associate Director to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Offers new insights and applies different or novel solutions to make improvements;
- Supports the Scientific Director in business development;
- Provides direction across projects and areas of expertise;
- Provides advice and solutions on the use and interpretation of information;
- Maintains a broad, strategic perspective for the health economics team;
- Handles creation of strategic (internal) communication;
- Where it is needed, introduces changes and drives innovation;
- Reviews complex or sensitive work;
- Handles difficult research issues;
- Develops and implements strategies that optimise individual performance;
- Supervises the development of conceptual frameworks that guide the analysis and internal methodological standards in economic modelling projects.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Proven experience in health economics research, ideally within academia, consulting or the pharmaceutical sector;
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment;
- Good medical writing skills (putting together presentations, reports, dossiers, manuscripts);
- High self-motivation, can-do attitude, optimistic outlook and leadership ability;
- Demonstrated knowledge of health technology assessment and management of UK/EU5 submission dossiers;
- Knowledge and understanding of indirect treatment comparison and network meta-analysis methods;
- Knowledge and understanding of systematic literature review and evidence synthesis methodology;
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical sector;
- Experience in Health Economic Modelling / Outcomes Research Methodology;
- Experience in Business Development and Managing Projects will be important;
- A Masters Level Degree in Health Economics or related subject is vital;
- Experience working in Health Economics / HEOR within a Pharma or Consulting environment;
- Experience helping or mentoring more Junior Heath Economists.
