Laboratory Supervisor

Laboratory Supervisor I organizes and directs the daily activities of the laboratory. Responsible for supervising laboratory personnel, conducting and overseeing quality assurance and quality control, and collecting, analyzing, and interpreting lab results. Laboratory Supervisor I, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Laboratory Supervisor I typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor.

Our company is looking for a Laboratory Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend quality and HACCP meetings and supply information concerning site issues,
  • Ensuring paperwork and details of products are correct and tested in accordance to procedures,
  • Ensuring all non-conformances are logged and cleared by end of every quarter,
  • Checking GMP standards within manufacturing areas are upheld, walk the process / discuss issues with personnel,
  • Ensuring all lab personnel understand and obey all good manufacturing practice,
  • Dealing with customer exceptions and responding to customers on quality matters and complaints,
  • Aid in recruitment and development of personnel,
  • Involvement in developing quality goals and targets,
  • Assisting with customer audits and traceability;
  • Ensuring all hygiene tasks are carried out to schedule as required,
  • Champion, support or lead multi-disciplined quality improvement initiatives that support product or process improvements,
  • Ensure that internal & external customer requirements and expectations have been identified and that the organization is meeting or exceeding these,

Requirements:

  • You will ideally have a Scientific Degree and 2 years experience within a Pharma and have substantial experience of HPLC;

  • Data integrity and GMP experience;
  • Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a Science related subject.
