Our company is looking for a Multi Task Operative to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To support all day to day Warehouse and Supply Chain tasks as required in support of the service contract;
  • Conduct warehouse processes in line with the position of an warehouse Operative;
  • Act as Building Lock Up and conduct security checks as required;
  • Be prepared to conduct flexible working commitments between 08:00 and 2159 within contracted working hours;
  • To perform stock checks. Operate MHE, including reach truck, counterbalance, 4 way and overhead gantry cranes;
  • To issue stock to production orders once picked and presented. To put away stock in correct storage plant and location from the goods receipt process;
  • Put away of aircraft parts. To pick aircraft components from stores locations;
  • To deliver and collect aircraft components to production areas using company commercial vehicles;
  • To carry out any additional tasks as agreed with the Team Leader;
  • Any other Adhoc warehouse related task;
  • To liaise with aircraft logisticians;
  • To serve customers on the High Priority counter. To present aircraft components ready for delivery to the production lines;
  • Ensuring, that at all times, the Company’s Health & Safety procedures are adhered to, in particular, the use of machinery and protective devices.

Requirements:

  • Experience of operating MJDI, is very desirable but not essential;
  • Can demonstrate good communication skills;
  • Full driving license essential and be prepared to operate MHE (including FLT);
  • Must be computer literate and will have been trained in the use of MS Office Suite;
  • Shall have confidence within a busy & diverse working environment and have the ability to prioritise work on a day-to-day basis;
  • A positive and flexible approach to work with a commitment to developing yourself;
  • Able to demonstrate a good all round knowledge of Warehousing;
  • Ideally possess a background of practical problem solving / continuous improvement;
  • Must be willing to undergo Security Check Clearance. Good housekeeping skills;
  • Has the ability to prioritize and change with the departmental needs;
  • Have an understanding of the need for attention to detail, with a “right first time” approach;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective dialogue with customers both internal and external;
  • Must be totally flexible and willing to learn;
