Our company is looking for a Senior or Principal Archaeological Consultant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with the Client Team;
  • Technical reviewer role with a focus on archaeology;
  • Acting as technical lead and managing project teams;
  • Sourcing new opportunities and providing technical contribution to tenders;
  • Management of medium to large scale projects to ensure they are delivered on time and budget;
  • Design, negotiation, management and delivery of archaeological fieldwork strategies;
  • Key member of heritage technical excellence plan strategy and delivery – engaging new clients, products and business strands;
  • Management of sub-consultants and archaeological contractors;
  • Providing expert advice to a range of clients and internal teams on a diverse range of projects.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Masters level or higher qualification in archaeology or heritage management, or considerable experience akin to this level of qualification;
  • A good first degree in archaeology or closely related discipline e.g. history / anthropology.
