Assistant Finance Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Assistant Finance Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Continuous review of customer debt and cash allocation and escalate as necessary;
- Analysis of financial data and production of management accounting information for business including benefits tracking;
- Supporting other finance colleagues in their daily tasks including timely sales and purchasing;
- Ensuring adherence to accounting rules, procedures and timescales;
- Reporting P&L’s for the month;
- Review cash flows, identify trends;
- Streamlining existing financial processes to increase function performance;
- To manage cash and expenditure;
- Daily bank reconciliations and management;
- Ensure that the appropriate levels of controls exist to prevent inaccurate reporting of results;
- Production of monthly management accounts and month end reporting;
- Monthly reporting of working capital and cash flow reporting;
- Involve the team and engage them with our vision, goals & KPIs to create success;
- Introduction of monthly cost reporting with commentary to accountable Senior Leadership team members;
- Support with MI reporting.
Requirements:
- Day to day responsibility for the accounting and financial activities in respect of specific entities and the holding companies;
- Complete and review internal controls and balance sheet reconciliations as required i.e. monthly, quarterly, annually;
- Lead the process for UK entities Statutory Accounts preparation & UK Group CT reporting, PAYE and associated payroll reporting, VAT submissions;
- Analysis of any financial issues concerning the closing process and or accuracy of the data recorded;
- Assist with the budget and forecasting cycle of specific entities;
- Deputise for the UK Finance Manager as required;
- Support the UK Finance Manager on accounting and financial analysis activities for all required entities;
- Review internal control (SOX) matrix annually in conjunction with the UK Finance Manager.
