Assistant Product Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Assistant Product Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of product webpages in all regions to the highest standard;
- Build close working relationships with all areas of the business to provide product knowledge;
- Commission and assist with creation of all needed product resources to a deadline;
- Ensure maintenance of accurate & useful product information on internal training website;
- Delivery of other projects relating to product strategy;
- Assist with product certification where necessary (environmental etc);
- Become a product expert – know the value offered in every product;
- Ensure existing products have the needed resources to be succeed (literature, samples, imagery, 3d files, feature videos etc);
- Communicate internally to all global regions;
- Assist in updating of global pricing mechanisms (trade pricelists & internal quoting tools);
- Assist with product performance reporting, including product positioning (analysis of product fit/marketability);
- Assist with monitoring & reporting on the competition;
- Manage and maintain the image library;
- Work with R&D team to gather detailed product information;
- Assist garnering, logging & implementing customer product feedback.
Requirements:
- You will be a strong Manager with the ability to deal with new and long standing staff and implement new procedures;
- You will have experience from within a FMCG/ engineering/ food background;
- You will have experience with HR issues – appraisals/ disciplnaries etc;
- You MUST have experience of managing teams of 20+ staff;
- You MUST have previous experience within a Production Management role;
- Must have experience within health and safety – IOSH standard;
- Ability to coordinate resources to manage and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure;
- Proven analytical skills and technical understanding;
- Ability to function as an effective team member;
- Ability to work with other departments and understand their needs to achieve desired outcomes;
- Strong Project Management skills and experience;
- Ability to see the bigger picture as well as acute attention to detail and desire for accuracy;
- Ability to communicate clearly at all levels;
- Keenness to learn and ambition to progress within the department.
