Our company is looking for a Associate Director, Public Affairs to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design engaging campaigns for politicians, influencers, and stakeholders;
  • Take the lead on several accounts across sectors;
  • Provide advice to key clients on policy issues;
  • Develop and deliver innovative, insightful and creative PA strategies and solutions for clients;
  • Build strong and long-lasting relationships with clients;
  • Monitor global trends in business and its potential impact on clients and their sectors;
  • Day-to-day direction of client accounts;
  • Identify, plant and pitch to new business opportunities;
  • Able to manage, consult and support the team;
  • Taking on day to day project management responsibilities, ensuring a high standard of work for client programmes;
  • Effectively managing teams to deliver against tight deadlines and supporting the development of junior colleagues;
  • Growing the existing client base;
  • Leading on policy development, including on financial services;
  • Oversee all client contact whilst offering strategic counsel;
  • Working with a team of researchers and policy analysts to produce detailed pieces of original research and analysis.

Requirements:

  • The ability to win and build new business;
  • Excellent connections across Westminster and Whitehall;
  • Proven experience within a Public Affairs consultancy;
  • Fantastic communication skills both verbal and written, able to think strategically, and interact with clients confidently;
  • Able to speak welsh is desirable and a strong understanding of the Welsh political scene is necessary;
  • Demonstrable media relations skills;
  • Already working at AD/SAD level in Public Affairs;
  • Demonstrable experience in new business development;
  • Someone who understands the demands of integrated communications;
  • Broad base of Public Affairs skills- experience at a similar level either agency, in-house or in government;
  • Someone who can work in a creative, forward thinking fast paced environment;
  • Experience in team management/leadership.
