Our company is looking for a Business Development Account Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for driving new business sales opportunities, from initial prospect to closing the opportunity;
  • Make warm sales calls to existing customers in order to up sell products and services;
  • Attend networking events to ensure the brand name gains maximum exposure;
  • Maintain the ongoing account relationship to maximise future growth opportunities;
  • Be focused on Quote Creation/ Business Development/ Client Relationship management;
  • Generating further client referrals from your existing client base;
  • Generating targeted levels of qualified leads of potential clients (contractors, freelancers, businesses);
  • Attending after-hours social/industry functions/events to grow a network;
  • Undertaking market research/analysis;
  • Delivering monthly face to face meeting targets with pre-selected businesses;
  • Gaining an in-depth understanding of the legislative and tax framework affecting UK contractors, recruitment businesses and end-hirers;
  • Writing complex proposals, reviewing contracts and contract negotiations with customers and suppliers;
  • Managing multiple sales situations as well as generating new opportunities in new and existing accounts;
  • Working closely with clients to identify, understand, document and articulate their needs and requirements., matching to company’s solutions;
  • Managing customer accounts, developing and maintaining good relationships with the existing customer base, key accounts, suppliers and partners.

Requirements:

  • A track record of exceeding targets and growing revenue streams with both new and existing clients;
  • Ability to travel with a full UK driving licence;
  • You must be self-motivated to achieve targets and KPI’s independently;
  • Competent IT skills, with commercial experience of using Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships at all levels;
  • Suitable candidate must demonstrate that they have worked in an outbound call based role and are confident to develop within this area;
  • Computer Literate – MS Office/CRM software/telephone system;
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with a track record of high conversion rates from pitches;
  • Excellent Communication skills are required – Able to influence effectively both internally and externally;
  • A determined, driven and passionate attitude;
  • The ability to develop relationships with decision makers and influence within client organisations;
  • Project management skills;
  • Experience of target/KPI driven challenging sales environments would be an advantage to applicants when applying for this role;
  • The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders;
  • It is essential that you will have previously had a commercial sales, account management or business development role within the waste sector.
