Our company is looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Undertaking contract completion analysis and lessons learned;
- Liaising with site operations to minimise financial exposure and ensure customer delivery targets are achieved;
- Identifying and developing business opportunities;
- Liaising with company IT to drive financial systems development;
- Use analytics and data to support recommendations;
- Lead on effective risk management and protect business reputation;
- Ensure the necessary expertise is available to support dispute management efforts with clients and sub-contractors;
- Conduct subcontract negotiation meetings;
- Ensure commercial processes are being followed;
- Monthly preparation and presentation of the business performance report;
- Working closely with the Commercial Product team to ensure cruise lines have the best pricing and;
- Ensuring that the post contract administration of projects is entirely in accordance with the CMR;
- Summarising key Terms and Conditions, risk and reward for presentation to broader audiences;
- Preparation of tender information;
- Encouragement of good industry standard practice and self-assessment of quality and accuracy of commercial work.
Requirements:
- Proven relevant experience gained in a commercial discipline in a high tech industry, ideally within the aerospace/defence/manufacturing sector;
- Proven relevant experience gained in a commercial discipline in a high tech industry, ideally within the aerospace/defence/support service sector;
- Well-developed skills in the use of a variety of computerised business software to support business needs;
- Knowledge and experience of identifying, vetting and managing Intermediaries and Advisors;
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan the workload of a team of professional commercial staff;
- Experience gained within a large contracting organisation;
- Membership of an appropriate Professional body, typically Chartered member of RICS or an international equivalent professional status;
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in the field of Quantity Surveying;
- Consumer durables experience (i.e. a physical product), ideally premium consumer electricals and / or connected home devices;
- The post holder should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a numerate discipline;
- UK driving licence is essential;
- Ability to communicate confidently and professionally internally and externally, including supplier negotiation;
- Experience of leading, managing and developing teams;
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a commercial related subject (candidates with significant appropriate experience may be considered);
- Experience of Microsoft IT packages.
