Continuous Improvement Manager/Warehouse Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager/Warehouse Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with key stakeholder;
- Provide regular updates to Senior Management;
- Identification of cost saving opportunities and transference to delivered improvements;
- Analyze process performance and identify solutions to KPI shortfall;
- Prepare and Present full justifications of savings identified to increase Customer Service Levels;
- Drive the continuous improvement strategy on site;
- Communicate with the finance team to track financial savings;
- Improve the service to customers, and have an understanding of the costs and exposures to the business involved;
- Support the management team in the delivery of all KPIs and budgets;
- Identify and drive performance in line with business wide priorities whilst removing cost from the operation;
- Understand and develop KPI systems to support the business in achieving targets;
- Strategically focused to make sound commercial decisions and be pragmatic in order to make an impact from day one;
- Be responsible for the implementation of all change initiatives and process improvement;
- Deliver succession plans by developing internal teams;
- Ensure the team are pro-actively seeking and fixing underlying issues to ensure continuous improvement across the company.
Requirements:
- Lean Six Sigma qualification essential;
- Good at establishing working relationships and developing personal contacts both internally and externally;
- Strong communicator both written and oral;
- Prince2 (Desirable);
- An analytical mindset with a result driven and commercially aware mindset;
- Experience of working within a Continuous Improvement / Projects / Lean focused role previously;
- Results oriented person that will constantly challenge the way things are done;
- Be within a commutable distance of Peterborough;
- Have a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background;
- An understanding of Automated warehousing would be advantageous;
- Strong analytical skills and judgement.
