Our company is looking for a Employee Relations Advisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training workshops to managers on key HR areas as required;
  • Develop and manage effective internal team relationships;
  • Advising employees and managers in resolving conflict issues and dealing with grievances;
  • Broad Employee Relations experience;
  • Flexible and proactive approach to your work;
  • Be self-motivated and work autonomously providing the required outputs;
  • Identification of business issues and trends;
  • Communicate clearly and concisely at all levels and exhibit strong listening skills;
  • Identify and get to the root cause of issues quickly and effectively and solve complex problems;
  • Confidently deal with conflict, expressing opinions, making sound commercial decisions and standing by the outcome;
  • See the ‘bigger picture’, be a strong influencer and be confident enough to build and shape the business from both a commercial and people perspective;
  • Act as the internal escalation and expert on all aspects of ER and build effective relationships with key internal stakeholders;
  • Undertake project work;
  • Provide generalist support such as casework investigations and meetings;
  • Working with the ER Manager to provide up to date legislative information to the business.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated or equivalent;
  • Be self motivated and work autonomously providing the required outputs;
  • Experienced in HR ideally within a large organisation;
  • Confidently deal with conflict, expressing opinions, making sound commercial decisions and standing by the outcome;
  • High level credibility and confidentiality, with the sensitivity and diplomacy to deal effectively with challenging situations;
  • Experience in Employee Relations is essential, able to demonstrate a confident knowledge of employment law and HR policy;
  • Minimum CIPD level 3 qualified (ideally level 5), with a keen desire to becoming fully qualified;
  • Additional European language skills an advantage;
  • Experience within Financial Services/ FinTech/ Corporate environment preferred;
  • Demonstrable stakeholder engagement;
  • Ability to manage own workload efficiently and effectively, plan and prioritise appropriately and identify/ escalate high risk/ complex issues;
  • Ability to deal with multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively and accurately in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment together with a flexible approach and a commitment to completing tasks;
  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent).
