Our company is looking for a Engineering Team Leader to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety operating procedures, and ensuring company and customer technical standards are maintained;
  • Contributing to the construction of a planned preventative maintenance programme;
  • Minimising downtime through ensuring regular maintenance of equipment;
  • Deputising for the Engineering Shift Manager as necessary;
  • Maintaining the Engineering Job Order System and keeping accurate maintenance records;
  • Managing the shift within budgetary constraints;
  • Planning of remedial work ensuring all required components are acquired;
  • Ensuring work locations are fit for purpose and compliant with standards;
  • Brief team regarding upcoming activities and priorities;
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to ensure job requirements are fulfilled;
  • Ensures a safe working environment exists for all employees;
  • Implementing and maintaining safety systems, production efficiency and quality output;
  • Apprentice training and management;
  • Break adherence management: Manage your team’s breaks in conjunction with production needs to ensure that lines run to their optimal performance;
  • Lead the relocation and re-installation of machinery and Machine set-ups.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with SAP (or equivalent) and have strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel;
  • Knowledge of relevant systems and processes;
  • Hold a HNC in Mechanical Engineering (preferable);
  • Fully qualified Electrical Engineer, experienced within a manufacturing environment;
  • Have demonstrable experience in project management;
  • People Development;
  • Ensure that health and safety is a priority for the team and complete risk assessments and safety audits;
  • Support the Site Maintenance Managers to develop and review the capacity plan and propose investment activities for any shortfalls;
  • Develop engineering training, skills and knowledge within the factory, promoting a professional team culture;
  • Electronics;
  • Perform root cause analysis on all equipment failures, establish and implement appropriate next steps to prevent recurrence;
  • Assist in planning and co-ordinating routine maintenance activities and liaise with the Engineering Planner to achieve maximum plant effectiveness;

  • Drive Engineering team performance to achieve OEE and Reliability figures across the site, on or above set target.
