Events Marketing Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Events Marketing Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying obstacles and pitfalls, and facilitating dialogue to resolve them;
- Responsible for measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of events, including leads and other metrics;
- Manage logistical requirements for planning, staging, and shipping or tradeshow properties, products and supporting elements;
- Identify opportunities for process improvement;
- Planning, organizing, and managing approximately 15-20 B2B marketing events per year including industry sponsorships and regional owned events;
- Establish staffing requirements, obtain approvals and recruit employees to staff all trade shows and internal events;
- Prepare ROI evaluation of events;
- Establishing deadlines, communicating issues as they occur;
- Providing support and resources for teams who are running smaller sponsorships & pop-ups independently;
- Planning and running webinars on a monthly basis; overseeing all logistics from online set-up, speaker prep, translation requests and execution;
- Coordinating resources across projects and teams;
- Research and evaluate potential guest speakers for events;
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with outside vendors;
- Responsible for the strategy and execution for large corporate events, smaller special events and industry conferences;
- Define objectives and messaging for events.
Requirements:
- Enthusiasm for the range of personalities we work with, from celebrities to fashion designers and artists to influencers;
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills;
- Extremely well-organised and have excellent presentation skills;
- Taste and aesthetic sensibility that pairs well with our brands;
- Superior creative thinking and problem solving abilities;
- 5+ years’ experience in event planning, strategy and hands-on execution;
- Interest in design;
- Awareness of current culture as it relates to activations and relevant promotional opportunities;
- Social-media expertise a plus;
- Ability to work independently with confidence to take decisions;
- Strong analytical approach to your work but balance this with creativity;
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting;
- Well-organised with excellent presentation skills;
- Competent use of most Microsoft Office products;
- Close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
