Our company is looking for a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To deal efficiently and courteously with all guest queries;
- Assist with the day to day operation of the bar;
- Resetting tables, tidying work areas and preparing the food service areas for the next service;
- To serve customers in a friendly, professional and efficient manner;
- Create a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests;
- Ensuring the restaurant environment is always maintained and cleaned to a high standard both during and after service;
- To assist in the set up if the restaurant before service, ensuring all required items are stocked and ready;
- Delivering prepared food from the kitchen to the dining room or appropriate area, and serving meals to residents in a pleasant and friendly manner;
- To ensure the Cafe is prepared and ready for business at the appointed opening times;
- Proactively welcoming and greeting all guests and visitors to the Restaurant and the Hotel;
- To ensure all areas of the Café and products are displayed in a clean, tidy and attractive manner;
- Support the introduction of new menus and event initiatives to further grow the business revenues;
- Risk, governance and compliance;
- Assume responsibility for kitchen and front of house teams;
- Work as part of a close-knit team.
Requirements:
- Well presented & friendly;
- Hard working and able to work under own initiative;
- Excited about a career in hospitality;
- Flexible with working hours;
- Not currently in education, training, or stable employment;
- Professional and confident customer service skills;
- Good communication skills;
- You can expect a fast paced and demanding environment, so the ability to work well under pressure is essential;
- Available for 4 weeks from 9th March, and ready to start a full-time job straight after the course;
- 18 – 29 years old (we are a youth charity and this is a funding requirement).
