Group Product Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Group Product Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Recommend pricing and tactical promotions for new and existing product implementation;
- Monitor the performance of business cases, being accountable for their success/failure;
- Create comprehensive brand and business growth strategy for region, leveraging team’s global capabilities and competencies;
- Presentations to internal teams and key strategic retail accounts;
- Lead, manage and develop direct and indirect reports and cross-functional teams;
- Regularly communicate all updates to relevant stakeholders;
- Build and maintain strong market knowledge through regular sales and customer contact;
- Manage P&L for region, ensuring profitability within the assigned market segments. Manage price and promotional programming for categories;
- Aid in developing and implementing marketing initiatives to maximise product awareness;
- Market and competitor analysis;
- Pricing and promotion management with a key focus on profit and sales growth;
- Product training on current and new ranges and product information bulletins;
- New Product Development (NPD);
- Continually review product portfolio performance, recommend and implement actions where negative or poor performance occurs;
- Identify and analyse new product opportunities in line with group strategy.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable knowledge of the home interiors sector;
- Educated to degree level or above in a relevant discipline;
- Portfolio management experience: tracking, ROS, loyalty, gaining customer feedback;
- Knowledge of carpets, textiles or soft furnishings is essential;
- Prepared to undertake occasional international travel as required as part of the role;
- 5+ years of Product Management experience;
- Strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral);
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Financial management skills;
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office, particularly strong Excel;
- Full UK driving licence;
- Expertise in all aspects of product management including NPD process from concept to instore and discontinuations.
