Our company is looking for a Head of Payroll to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing reports for accounts and clients for annual returns and auditing purposes;
  • Managing outsourced payroll for clients;
  • Running and managing the monthly payroll bureau;
  • Completing the year end process for all clients;
  • Maintaining both client and employee information and updating information when necessary;
  • Setting up pension schemes and uploading weekly and monthly contribution to pension providers;
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the payroll function, including all aspects a payroll department;
  • Previous experience of processing and managing payroll is essential;
  • Submission of all payroll data to HMRC, RPMI and other third parties are adhered to, in line with current legislations and future legislative changes;
  • Ability to use initiative;
  • Responsible for weekly and 4-weekly, including pension processes and reporting;
  • Ability to work to deadlines;
  • Must be detail-orientated;
  • Manage the day-to-day payroll function to provide an efficient, compliant payroll department;
  • Provide the businesses with operational and management data to support the management and objectives of the business.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and team development skill set;
  • Proven experience putting in place controls and frameworks in relation to risk;
  • Strong communications skills set internal and external;
  • Ability to take ownership by running and driving a payroll offering;
  • Fully understands where payroll is right now and where it can get to long-term;
  • Be able to make key decisions under pressure;
  • Exposure to large volume and complex payrolls;
  • Strong Governance ability and creating a high performing team;
  • Strong payroll operations experience;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Previous experience of processing and managing payroll is essential;
  • Must be detail oriented;
  • Ability to work to deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to use initiative.
