Our company is looking for a Head of Quality to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and prepare the company for audits, assessments and inspections from all accreditation bodies and customers;
  • Maintain an awareness of new and proposed legislation that impacts the business and communicating any changes to the relevant stakeholders;
  • Ensure all operative and strategic targets are reached within the site, e.g. PPM, Scrap, & Customer Returns;
  • Empowering the Quality department of quality inspectors and engineers and provide guidance and feedback;
  • Ensure that the business remains compliant to the relevant Quality Standards;
  • Ensure quality risks are managed effectively;
  • The company’s overall quality management system;
  • Making sure company pass AS9100 quality audit;
  • Experience in FAIRS;
  • Ensure the manufactured items are released to the satisfaction of the customers and airworthiness authorities;
  • Preparing and completing action plans for new quality accreditations such as NADCAP and SABRe 2;
  • To ensure adherence with internal and external customer/ regulatory requirements;
  • Contributing to the annual budget process;
  • Development and creation of Procedures, Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) as required;
  • Evaluating quality process and results, re-calibrating initiatives to embrace changing needs.

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand quality issues in a complex mechatronic system consisting of both high value/low volume and low value/high volume elements;
  • Use of problem solving tools such as 8D;
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing techniques such as 5S, VSM, Kaizen;
  • Significant background in the day-to-day running of a quality function within a high-technology, high quality manufacturing business;
  • Candidates who have experience dealing with product recalls would also be of interest;
  • Good experience of mentoring and developing QA teams, having successfully led teams in the past.
