Head of Service Operations Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Head of Service Operations to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Setting and managing operational budgets. Ensuring the department has all the resources to meet its objective within financial parameters set;
- Develop the necessary policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment is maintained at all company and client sites;
- Ensuring staff and team have clear business focused job descriptions that are relevant and concise;
- Managing and maintain stock levels to ensure that orders can be fulfilled, within the business financial plan;
- Providing clear leadership to service delivery teams. Regular review of key individual’s performance against objectives;
- Providing strategic input to forecasting and planning activities of the company where appropriate;
- Management of all functional delivery IT Systems. This includes security and access.
Requirements:
- 8 years + leadership and management experience with demonstrable People, P&L and Service delivery responsibility;
- Experienced and skilled in managing technical staff in a fast paced multi-client environment;
- 5 years+ experience of a senior Operations management role within a fast-paced logistics/technology environment;
- Experienced in an SaaS environment;
- A thorough understanding of JIT (Just in Time) supply chain delivery systems and experience of the challenges involved;
- Demonstrable experience of delivering UK based service using off shore suppliers for key components of the service.
