Home Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Home Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake assessments and reviews;
- Liaise with, and maintaining partnerships with, other local community organisations;
- Lead and implement marketing strategy to grow homes occupancy and develop reputation;
- Ability to innovate, create and inspire change to deliver improvements required for ‘Outstanding’ CQC ratings;
- Organise activities for residents and actively promote their independence;
- Ensure any regulatory activity, such as personal care and administering medicines, is delivered within regulations;
- Ensure the delivery of quality, person-centered care;
- Delivering hands on care when required;
- Hold Registered Manager registration with CQC for a large nursing home;
- Leading by example to ensure consistently high levels of care are maintained;
- Staff supervision;
- Chair meetings and deliver training;
- Maintain quality standards and ensure health and safety compliance;
- recruiting, training and supervising staff;
- Delegation of tasks to grow team competencies and accountability.
Requirements:
- Experienced Home Manager with a Good proven track record;
- Previous home management experience is essential;
- Minimum qualification NVQ L4 / L5;
- Previous experience of turnaround or service improvement;
- Current Home Manager (elderly care home);
- An understanding in and empathy for elderly care;
- Accomplished Home Manager/General Manager – evidenced through achieving overall good and above CQC inspection ratings;
- Passion for elderly care;
- Strategic thinker;
- RMA / NVQ Level 5 qualified (preferable, not essential);
- Minimum qualification NVQ L4 / L5 or willing to work towards;
- Commercial and Private care sector knowledge;
- Good commercial and business acumen around;
- Proven track record in managing a site in excess of 50 beds;
- Commissioning experience (preferable, not essential).
