Our company is looking for a Insurance Account Manager to join our team.


  • Work with Finance Operations to ensure all transactions processed are accurate and complete and recorded in a timely manner;
  • Prepare third-party commission statements and ensure settlement of amounts due;
  • Work with the underwriting teams to ensure full understanding of products and related earnings that are reflected in the management accounts;
  • Manage the day to day relationships with 3rd party providers and Group entities;
  • Communicating with customers face to face and on the phone;
  • Strive to deliver process improvements, delivering ‘best’ in class processes;
  • Maintain and monitor reconciliations for systems feeds into SAP forming part of the management accounts/ financial statements;
  • Ensure robust controls are in place look to enhance where possible;
  • Take ownership for the inter-company position, ensuring this is reconciled monthly to agree with the other group entities;
  • Upsell and cross services and products;
  • Document and improve current reporting processes;
  • Produce the year-end statutory accounts for AIL. Including notes, commentary and analysis;
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis and MI to key stakeholders;
  • To work with the Insurance Reporting Manager to establish/ maintain fit for purpose management accounts with insightful monthly commentary;
  • Assist with premium bordereau processing and posting onto SAP.


  • Ability to interpret commercial contracts, ensuring that financial considerations have been factored in;
  • Strong technical knowledge – up to date expertise in relevant accounting standards FRS102 and FRS103 under UK GAAP;
  • Qualified and experienced accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA);
  • Strong finance systems experience – SAP systems experience an advantage;
  • General operational accounting experience and background in a related field an advantage;
  • Proven experience of statutory accounting and audit management;
  • Advanced Excel skills – essential;
  • Experience of process improvement;
  • Insurance background essential.
