Internal Business Development Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Internal Business Development Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Support the external sales team with lead generation and sales support;
- Support & inform the team leaders who are responsible for the day-to-day management of the team;
- Aim to delight customers and champion initiatives to further enhance the service or product offering;
- Submit a monthly pipeline report to the Head of New Business Development;
- Visit customers where necessary;
- Define a territory plan to effectively structure activity; adhere to milestones, deliverables, and critically review progress at all stages;
- Identify, develop and close New Business opportunities, in line with set targets;
- Work with the Marketing function to design and implement strategic sales campaigns;
- Live and work in the Dorset area;
- Identify and open new relevant distributor partners in North America;
- Strategically deliver sales growth and achieve sales targets through client relationships;
- Set financial targets, budgets and prepare and present reports to the board;
- Manage efficiencies and effectiveness in supply chain and maximise distributor performance;
- Own the customer experience from start to deliver to after sales;
- Manage current legal documentation to export products.
Requirements:
- Experience within the energy sector;
- Full UK driving license and a willingness to visit regional offices, customers and other relevant travel where necessary;
- Successful sales cycle management experience;
- Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook, PowerBI;
- Excellent telephone manner;
- Customer service experience;
- Ability to use data analysis to inform prospecting, territory planning and decision-making;
- Sales experience and commercial awareness.
