Junior Account Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Junior Account Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Retention of client accounts;
- Conducting finance inductions for new Mediabrands starters;
- Completing the detailed P&L analysis;
- Reviewing personal and company credit card expenses;
- Assist with preparation of yearly statutory accounts and the audit;
- Assist the Group Management Accountant in providing analyses and information for monthly management accounts packs across the group;
- Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls and ensuring they are maintained;
- Maintains financial records for SDCL and subsidiaries;
- Bank recs and inter-co balance reconciliation /Journals for depreciation, accruals and prepayments;
- Call on established accounts and prospect new traditional and non-traditional retailers;
- Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements;
- Develop and maintain long term relationships with clients;
- Ensure that the Key Account Managers are kept informed of any developments relevant to the accounts you are supporting them on;
- Maintaining a close relationship with the technical team to aid with account management;
- Manage the expectations of clients during the service delivery process.
Requirements:
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- 3 years agency side experience within marketing and communications;
- Excellent writing, editing, proof reading skills are essential;
- Ambition to self improve;
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills necessary to build trust and respect both externally and internally;
- Flexibility and team focused, non-hierarchical approach with a ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude to getting the job done;
- Happy to go the extra mile;
- Outgoing personality;
- Ability to understand and communicate technical processes so that learning is achieved simply;
- You MUST have previous sales and account management experience;
- FMCG background (Food Manufacturing/Fresh Produce/Horticulture);
- Telephone reception/sales experience;
- You will have the confidence to pick up the phone and make contact with business decision makers who you haven’t spoken with before;
- Excellent communication skills and a team player;
- Proficient in the use of Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
