Land Buyer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Land Buyer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Land team with producing and presenting land offers and negotiating best possible terms;
- Actively managing communications and operational interfaces with internal and external stakeholders;
- Assisting the Land team in the successful acquisition of land within the regional boundaries;
- Undertake site due diligence and ensure it complies with the defined company criteria;
- You will be responsible for managing scheme appraisals working with the commercial manager;
- Maintain strong relationships with property agents, landowners, local authorities and other relevant parties;
- You will be actively involved in all aspects of the regions planning and land identification activities;
- You will be actively involved in the preparation, submission and negotiation of planning applications;
- Identify, appraise and negotiate on new land acquisitions;
- Undertake prospective site viewings and source for potential leads;
- Prepare land acquisition proposals and make recommendations to the relevant board;
- You will initiate and coordinate due diligence and technical investigations working with the technical manager;
- You will lead on and be responsible for pipeline development projects up to contract stage;
- Process legal documentation, briefs, progress reports and financial data and ensure it is provided to relevant third parties.
Requirements:
- Assisting the Land team in the successful acquisition of land within the regional boundaries;
- Actively managing communications and operational interfaces with internal and external stakeholders;
- Assisting the Land team with producing and presenting land offers and negotiating best possible terms;
- A strong network of contacts in the land agency world;
- A minimum of of 3 years consecutive experience required;
- Degree qualified and ideal property related;
- Currently working for a national residential house builder;
- Ability to work autonomously and independently from the rest of the team;
- Determined, hungry and ambitious.
