Our company is looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and deliver a range of printed materials and secure press coverage which support the charity’s objectives and raise awareness;
  • Working with and providing professional development and support to those communications, marketing and publicity colleagues based in other teams;
  • Management of the website and analysis of data;
  • Feedback on copy and design and ensuring production deadlines are met;
  • Providing effective, tailored marketing support for the Employment Team;
  • Liaise with our Brand and Content Team and freelance designers, copywriters and agencies on the development of materials;
  • Management of the communications and marketing plans;
  • Developing a marketing and communication plan tailored to launching our new employment and enterprise offer;
  • Supporting other marketing initiatives and services as deemed fit by the Senior Marketing Manager BTB;
  • Working on creating an identity for our new offer;
  • Working closely with the sales and partnerships team;
  • Take ownership of writing and managing communication plans for projects and ensure resource and budget are effectively monitored and allocated;
  • Content creation across multiple channels;
  • Provide insight into the employment and autism markets to support the development of our offer;
  • Supporting the wider PR and social teams in developing plans to communicate our offer.

Requirements:

  • You will have experience of delivering communications activities such as PR, marketing, media and communications planning;
  • Excellent written/ copy writing skills is essential;
  • Experience of managing and reporting on budgets;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent understanding of marketing communications;
  • Ability to use Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) to an advanced level;
  • Understanding of CRM and use of CMS;
  • Understanding of other systems such as CRM (e.g. Raisers Edge), email (e.g. DotMailer) and website content management systems;
  • Experience overseeing film production and photoshoots;
  • Excellent copy writing skills;
  • A flair for creativity, eye for detail and an ability to develop and offer ideas;
  • You must have a background in public sector, education, third sector or something similar;
  • Ideally a degree in Marketing/ Communications or similar;
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office package;
  • Experience developing communications and marketing plans.
