Our company is looking for a Nursery Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure internal policies and procedures are adhered whilst also meeting the external legislation and guidelines from our governing bodies;
  • Distributing warm hugs where required;
  • Playing with the children and interacting;
  • To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with your team reflective of the EYFS;
  • Ensure confidentiality at all times;
  • Developing bonds with key children and supporting colleagues when it is most required;
  • Working to the settings policies and procedures;
  • Following the EYFS curriculum;
  • Tailoring best practice and routines to ensure that the individual needs of each child are able to be met throughout the day;
  • Help children to learn numeracy skills through activities like counting games;
  • To work with EYFS curriculum and ensuring delivery of learning opportunities in a fun and caring environment;
  • Safeguard children at all times;
  • Light cleaning duties and helping to prepare snacks;
  • Supporting children at meal times and with personal care;
  • General cleaning.

Requirements:

  • Genuine desire and passion for ongoing learning and development;
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Have experience working with children in a childcare setting;
  • Child Protection;
  • Good interaction skills with both children, parents and careers;
  • ASAP starts;
  • Experience in an early years setting would be advantageous or experience working in a childcare setting either in schools or care;
  • Passionate about child care and development especially for children under the age of 5;
  • Full and relevant Level 2/3 Childcare Qualification (Or Equivalent);
  • Full understanding of safe guarding;
  • First Aid Certificate (preferred – but will train);
  • NVQ Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent;
  • Reliable;
  • Experience of working within the Early Years sector;
  • A passion for working with and supporting children.
