Production Line Leader Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Production Line Leader to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture product to specification within allotted time scales;
- Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;
- Provide on-going support and training to employees on Lean Manufacturing Improvement techniques;
- Support the Production Manager in terms of productivity and employee relations/wellbeing;
- Accountable for health, safety and environmental responsibilities of work area;
- Ensure that you understand and comply with Health and Safety at Work Regulations at all times;
- Be flexible in approach to overtime requirements, to meet with customer demand;
- Ensuring the final product meets client specifications (SPI);
- Adhering to and promoting best practice in accordance with company Health, Safety and Quality regulations;
- Ensuring all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures;
- Liaising with agency controllers on a day to day basis providing feedback regarding agency workers;
- Assisting in the training and development of new starters;
- Effectively using the integrated management system (Vision);
- Effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on a hourly/daily basis;
- Conducting Right to Work and Disciplinary interviews as required.
Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing and assembly experience is required;
- Knowledge of the industry would be advantageous;
- Self-motivated, proactive and innovative;
- People management experience;
- Computer Literate;
- Previous joinery shop experience is desirable;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Capable of reading worksheets.
