Registered Care Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Registered Care Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the effective day to day operation of high quality care support services provided by your branch;
- Ensure that sufficient staff are recruited to meet the service demand and plans for growth;
- Strive to develop and deliver care of the highest possible standard;
- Build and maintain relationships with Commissioners and partner agencies as appropriate;
- Managing and developing recruitment strategies and functions to ensure that the there are sufficient Carers available;
- Ensure that the domiciliary care agency operates within budget and hits financial targets;
- Line management of the team of care coordinators, Field Care Supervisors and care staff, ensuring people have regular supervision and appraisal;
- Lead the team in achieving key performance indicators and targets;
- Deliver the highest standard of care, service and staff support with the aim of achieving outstanding inspection results;
- Lead and manage the branch with the support of your care management team and our central support team;
- Ensuring that Local Authority / CCG / CHC contracts are being adhered to;
- Ensuring that the branch is meeting its legislative requirements and remains fully compliant with CQC standards;
- Responsible for the local management of hourly care and live-in care services;
- To be Registered Manager with the CQC;
- Participate in the branch on-call function when the business need arises.
Requirements:
- Excellent business and interpersonal skills, work successfully under pressure and consistently achieve KPIs/targets against tight deadlines;
- Excellent compliance history and with proven ability of implementing strategies resulting in GOOD (or better) inspection ratings;
- Highly knowledgeable of processes involved in CQC compliance and monitoring of service standards;
- Strong leadership skills and a proven ability of management and development of teams ensuring they are supported with appropriate training;
- Caring and empathetic approach developing person centred care plans tailored to personal needs;
- Extensive experience supporting and providing care to clients within a domiciliary setting;
- Committed to a client-focused approach coupled with high service standards.
