Senior BI Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior BI Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Developing a new reporting/ MIS solution;
- Technically implement various BI tools for the business including Looker and LookML;
- Work in a collaborative manner with the IT Team;
- Identify and implement ways to improve data processes and warehousing for the insights team;
- Supporting BAU &ad hoc business reporting development cycle;
- Must support the development of the data warehouse and associated ETL processes;
- The overall delivery of the BI/ETL pipeline in SQL and Python;
- Design, build and maintain data sets and table structures and the ETL process;
- Deputising for the BI Manager when necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven commercial experience programming in Python, SQL, and AWS;
- Commercial experience and willingness to take ownership of projects, including code reviews, discussions, and relationship management between teams;
- Educated to a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field;
- Commercial experience with visualisation tools including Looker, PowerBI, Tableau;
- Working knowledge of orchestration via Airflow and loading into a Redshift cluster.
