Our company is looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Leading on the service delivery of cost management commissions from inception to completion;
- Representing the company in a professional manner;
- Effective communication of all information for the completion of projects and liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control;
- Building strong working relationships with clients through meeting, negotiations and correspondence;
- Delivering work output to a high standard, on time and within budget;
- Providing accurate costs for schemes and liaising on these with our client;
- Reporting to partners regularly, including presenting to their senior management teams;
- Business development – identifying new opportunities to drive performance and drive revenue with both existing and new partners;
- Pursue own professional development and provide guidance and support to develop other commercial staff;
- Responsible for the commercial team delivering best-in-class for partner relationships;
- Lead the commercial function on the project or within the sector for which they are responsible;
- Driving product changes as a result of partner and commercial knowledge and input;
- Acting as a broadcast media spokesperson (preferable, not compulsory );
- Work closely with partners and Uswitch inSight team to develop and promote the uptake and use of the industry leading data insight product;
- Involvement on key commercial negotiations with our energy partners.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in the energy industry, for example, may have worked for an energy supplier;
- A very clear understanding of how to deliver first-rate partner service, striving to always deliver beyond expectations;
- Financially literate and able to effectively put together sales forecasts, pricing models and input into a P&L;
- Previous line management experience;
- Fantastic people skills, an excellent communicator;
- Experience forecasting sales & churn;

- Able to translate complex information in to a simplistic form for a non-technical audience;
- You will be highly commercial, it would suit someone with a background in Propositions, Trading or Commercial management;

- You will be an expert user of Excel, with an understanding of financial modelling;
- Good understanding of trading levers and how they can affect performance;
- Strong collaborator, with experience working with multiple teams and stakeholders;
- Telco experience would be a bonus, but anyone that has worked in a large organisation, with complex data sets would fit well.
