Senior Finance Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, update and/or maintain financial planning models and programming amortization models;
- Ensure costs are managed and accurately reported;
- Provide financial leadership to the finance team;
- Ensuring reported results are accurate and in compliance with US GAAP;
- Identifying and implementing accounting process and system improvements;
- Ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a timely basis;
- To prepare all financial and statutory audits and reporting under UK GAAP, including UK group consolidation with overseas subsidiaries;
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including provision of detailed commentary on any variances;
- Effectively manage work loads of the finance team, providing hands on support where necessary;
- Lead and develop a highly engaged team of finance professionals;
- Support the Financial Control function in providing information per year-end requests internally and from the Auditors;
- Implement new banking an payment processes;
- Management of the year-end audit for the entities including acting as the main point of contact for the auditors;
- Overseeing the financial accounting and reporting, including monthly P & Ls, general and sub-ledgers;
- Monthly management accounts.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong analytical ability, including advanced financial modeling skills;
- Passion for kids/family entertainment and the Disney brand a plus;
- Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously;
- 5-7 years of related experience; preferably in financial planning and analysis;
- Strong knowledge of advanced Excel and PowerPoint;
- Superior ability to lead meetings and communicate complex information to senior executives;
- Technical and regulatory knowledge;
- Effective leadership across a variety of business as usual and project initiatives;
- Ability to discuss issues clearly and concisely at all levels within the organization;
- Good systems experience – preferably an ERP system, Oracle preferred;
- Commercial acumen and ability to challenge trends and form expectations;
- Good planning and organizational skills – work well under pressure and is deadline driven;

- Relationships – Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships with function heads and finance community.
