Senior Research Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Research Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Researching suitable subject matter/event topics, across a wide range of public policy areas;
- Lead efforts to understand the impact of our marketing efforts e.g. through brand and campaign tracking;
- Proactively identify new trends and opportunities which the business should act upon;
- Creating event related marketing copy and supporting the marketing process;
- Develop insights which give a deep understanding of our current brand positioning and purpose;
- Writing event programmes and content;
- Researching potential attendees and co-ordinating with our Market Research Department;
- Researching and recruiting suitable speakers;
- Monitoring public policy developments;
- Provide inspiring insight which helps inform the development of marketing concepts and creatives;
- Deepen knowledge of our customers and target audience. For example through user profiling, segmentation, ethnography and immersion sessions;
- Deliver inspirational, action orientated and professional standard research;
- Event delivery.
Requirements:
- Someone who enjoys working in a small / entrepreneurial environment (but with the upsides of a Global company behind you) with a bright future ahead;
- Experience of working with local authorities, third sector or government departments;
- Experience in research management, preferably within a social care setting;
- A higher degree in social sciences;
- You know when to be scrappy and when to hold the line on methodological rigour;
- Engaging, inspiring and clear communicator. A proven track record of socialising and embedding research findings to drive business outcomes;
- Advanced experience with quantitative research techniques. Bonus points if you’re comfortable with SPSS, Survey Monkey or Qualtrics;
- Understanding of the nuances of running multi market, Global research studies. Bonus points if this includes experience of working in emerging markets;
- Enthusiasm, flexibility and reliability;
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
