Graduate Data Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Graduate Data Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively evaluate and analyse data;
- Work as part of a team to evaluate and analyse key data that will be used to shape future business strategies;
- Perform regular client outreach to promote the company’s proposition and secure business;
- Ensure that company data is record accurately and is correct;
- Being that ‘go to’ person for all things data;
- Creating, tracking and analysing campaigns;
- Keeping a review tracker to help with the management of the client review process;
- Supporting on key strategic projects;
- Working with their in-house insight tool, uploading data and ensuring all data is accurate and ready for clients;
- Assisting with the development of their insight tool and carrying out quality assurance testing;
- Liaise as appropriate with clients over the phone or in-person;
- Production of ad-hoc analysis for clients, agreeing on project objectives, identifying customer trends and detailing key recommendations;
- Producing data visualisation dashboards for the clients to clearly show how successful the client’s marketing campaign has been;
- Involvement in bespoke analytical projects for clients;
- Organisation and manipulation of data.
Requirements:
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude in all environments, with a strong will to succeed;
- An ambitious nature and a curiosity to learn and improve new technologies in a growth focused business;
- A strong numerical & Excel skillset is a must (ability to work with sales data in Excel/CSV formats and create and edit complex charts);
- A basic understanding of statistical concepts such as averages and trends;
- A 2.1 degree or higher from a top university;
- 2:2 equivalent or above in data related degree ? economics, maths, engineering or related;
- Able to think systematically and critically;
- Able to conduct analysis and find patterns or errors in data;
- Ideally some python;
- Basic SQL;
- A-Levels, including maths;
- 2:2 (or equivalent) or above in a mathematical degree;
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP function, pivot tables);
- Any experience with data would be beneficial;
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously.
