Our company is looking for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Give update calls on the project and delivery new solutions to the UK business;
  • Support on various projects including system upgrades;
  • Lead and own the testing, and deployment of applications into the Thin Client environment;
  • Provide cover and assistance to the other Thin Client team members;
  • Work with clients both remotely and offer on-site support to various infrastructure, application and hardware issues;
  • Act as an escalation point for 1st Line team resolving both hardware and software issues;
  • Continue to engage, learn, and then continue to pass on that learning to the service desk teams, both in house and remote employees;
  • Participate in the governance process to influence projects and adhere to PCI DSS compliance requirements;
  • Maintain up-to-date baselines for secure configuration and operations of all server components;
  • Supporting the development of the technical team ensuring a happy, professional and efficient working environment;
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Network and Infrastructure Manager;
  • Carrying out the configuration, installation, monitoring, maintenance and testing of computer systems and networks, from the ground up to completion;
  • Maintain and update clients Windows / VMware and associated services;
  • Anti-Virus policy for endpoints / eMail Protection / Backup Management;
  • Ensure vulnerabilities are remediated within the agreed SLA’s.

Requirements:

  • Office 365;
  • Virtualisation / VMware;
  • Experienced at liaising with senior stakeholders and customers – ranging from technical staff through to non-technical directors;
  • Dell/EMC storage;
  • Ability to interpret non-technical and technical information to enable problem resolution;
  • Ability to manage complex workloads and prioritise;
  • Antivirus concepts;
  • Exposure to networks, firewalls, switches and routers;
  • Active Directory Management (Group Policy Management);
  • Windows 7 and 10 support;
  • Ability to work independently and part of a collaborative team;
  • Windows Server 2016;
  • IT Network Infrastructure (LAN & WAN);
  • Microsoft platforms, office 365, active directory and exchange;
  • Knowledge of SANs & Storage hardware.
