Technical Bid Writer (Engineering) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Bid Writer (Engineering) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to work well within teams of resource to deliver winning bids;
- Updating CRM;
- Identify the technical requirements for each bid and will agree with the Sales Office Manager on the bid strategy;
- Set out bid expectation and meet agreed deadlines;
- Own the technical response of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ), Bids and Tenders;
- Comply with company standards, procedures and protocols with specific responsibility for performance to key performance indicators;
- Be decisive and be able to meet timelines for delivering high quality proposals to tight deadlines;
- Defining the exact requirements of the customer in order to generate an accurate quotation;
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with sales staff, BDMs and proposition leads;
- Continue to raise the standard and quality of bids to increase bid win ratio.
Requirements:
- Business administration and technical proposal writing;
- Maintain understanding of the company’s core capabilities;
- Knowledge and understanding of industrial sector bid requirements;
- Experience of commercial tendering;
- HNC/HND in electrical engineering or related discipline;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Must have experience and knowledge of the DNOs, PNOs, Oil and Gas.
