Our company is looking for a technical operator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake autonomous maintenance tasks as instructed by the Multi-skilled Engineer, including lubrication;
  • Operate technical equipment in the production of live and occasional pre-recorded studio content as required;
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the production team;
  • Responsible for reporting hazardous workplace conditions;
  • Comply with all Health and Safety policies and promote a positive safety culture;
  • Report technical issues in a timely manner so that problems are addressed quickly and with minimal impact on the output;
  • Prepare the studio for use;
  • Liaising with the Multi-skilled engineer to ensure the lines are running to optimise output while maintaining quality;
  • Rig and derig technical equipment in a safe manner as directed to support production requirements;
  • Sound mixing and assisting the presenters and guests with their microphones;
  • Attend production meetings when requested;
  • Adhering to Health and Safety;
  • Operating equipment safely and effectively for production processing;
  • Updating records, including spc charts;
  • Being flexible with duties.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a technical operations role;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Ideally previous working knowledge of food safety methodologies (HACCP), and other relevant standards for quality, safety and environment;
  • Knowledge of microphone techniques and basic sound mixing;
  • Work well under pressure;
  • Previous experience of working with packaging machinery and/or process equipment;
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic;
  • Ideally hold a forklift truck license;
  • High level of numeracy;
  • Fluent English speaker, with proficiency in reading, writing and speaking;
  • Working knowledge of vision control;
  • Ideally hold a Certificate in Food Safety Level 1 or Level 2;
  • Preferably packaging line experience;
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (BRC & HACCP). Previous food handling experience within a food manufacturing environment is desirable;
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
