Bookkeeper/Accountant Job Description Template

Our company is looking for a Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Double Entry Bookkeeping;
  • Payroll;
  • Account management;
  • VAT submissions;
  • Maintenance and posting Bank transactions;
  • Maintenance of the General Ledger including General Ledger journal preparation;
  • Ad-hoc monthly / weekly reporting;
  • Prepartion of VAT;
  • Bank reconcilliations;
  • Complete financial month end;
  • Process purchase invoices, make supplier payments, check supplier statements;
  • Cash flow forecasting;
  • Fixed Asset Management;
  • Raise debit notes to customers / suppliers;
  • Prepare detailManaging and processing all invoices and payments to suppliersed information required for Statutory Audit.

Requirements:

  • IT Literate;
  • Experience of using Sage or Xero or similar;
  • Qualified ACCA or HNC and above in accounts or by experience;
  • Double entry book-keeping;
  • Competent with excel, pivot tables, lookups etc.
