Our company is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Attending ship turnarounds, at various regional ports;
  • Participating in our CMV24/7 Rota. (Approximately once in x 8 weeks) £100 each time;
  • Process bookings received from customers efficiently and ensure they are arranged correctly with suppliers;
  • Export and intra-group sales order processing;
  • Participation in the Tier 1 meetings on site at Northampton;
  • Working at all times to enable and develop a team culture;
  • To efficiently process bookings from clients and overseas agents on to the system;
  • Respond to all emails in a prompt and professional manner;
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and demonstrate value added to their business;
  • Deal directly with customers either by telephone or electronically;
  • Investigate any complications that may arise in relation to the movement of cargo and respond to them in a thorough and speedy manner;
  • Comply with all company procedures and policies including OH&S;
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries;
  • Provide first class customer service and administrative support;
  • Regular follow-up of quotations, in order to convert sales.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Secondary school education or equivalent with ability to use Maths and English to an operational and professional standard;
  • Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities;
  • Excellent telephone, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Previous experience in a customer services or customer facing role is advantageous;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Educated to GCSE Level in Math’s and English;
  • Computer Literate and able to adapt to in house systems.
