Our company is looking for a Employment Solicitor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with clients on a day to day basis;
  • Guiding clients through disciplinary and other proceedings;
  • Attending hearings where appropriate;
  • Handling a caseload of employment matters;
  • Identify and undertake training and development as required in order to meet personal, SRA and business needs;
  • Maintain confidentiality in line with the firm’s policies and procedures; including dealing with confidential documents;
  • Actively work to convert enquiries into new matters;
  • Gain an understanding of client’s requirements and how to achieve their needs;
  • Managing a range of employer and employee cases;
  • Assisting the wider employment team in the development of the department;
  • To ask the right questions, at the right time, in the right way to provide appropriate challenge and brilliant support;
  • Mainly working with employer clients;
  • Ensure billing is completed to agreed timescales;
  • Draft, negotiate and interpret contracts, agreements and policies and procedures;
  • TUPE issues.

Requirements:

  • Business development experience;
  • TUPE issues;
  • Dealing with unfair and wrongful dismissal claims;
  • The ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative is also required;
  • Presentation skills;
  • Dealing with clients on a day to day basis;
  • Guiding clients through disciplinary and other proceedings;
  • The successful Employment Solicitor will have at least two years of experience in a similar role.
